Committees

The work of the Task Force is achieved by standing committees. Committee chairs work to develop products from their committees that fulfill their committee's objectives within the overall mission of the Task Force.

Executive Committee
The Executive Committee consists of the members of the Board, the Liaison, the Task Force Coordinator, the Science Advisor, the Public Information Officer, the Treasurer and all Committee chairs. This group contains those in the Task Force with the greatest expertise in their individual subject areas and is charged with providing overall direction to the Task Force, identifying strategic needs and developing Task Force direction. The Executive Committee provides technical advice to the Board for developing Task Force policy and input to the Board about appointing the Science Advisor and Liaison. About the Task Force. Created in August 2000, the California Oak Mortality Task Force (COMTF) is a nonprofit organization, under the California Forest Pest Council, that brings together public agencies, other nonprofit organizations and private interests to address the issue of elevated levels of oak mortality.
