California Department of Food and Agriculture-Sponsored Activities

The Center has many ongoing research projects supported by the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA).

One current project, entitled "Economic Impacts of Pesticide Regulation", focuses on the development of methods to measure economic impacts of pesticide regulation.  Policies considered under this scope of work include worker safety, chemical bans, food safety, endangered species and groundwater regulations.

Another project (Economic Importance of Compound 1080 in California Agriculture) examined economic impacts of banning certain vertebrate controls.  The study area for this project included Modoc and Lassen counties in northern California.
