SOD BLITZ 2011
Follow Up Meetings and Community Events
This activity possible thanks to funding from:
USDA Forest Service, State and Private Forestry
The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation
SOD Blitz 2011 was a great success! Thanks to you we were able to engage over 400 "citizen scientists" across 13 California counties to collect 1872
samples for
analysis at UC Berkeley.
The results for 2011 are now available and we would like to share them with you
at a
community
meeting in your area. Please contact the organizers below to attend. The meetings are scheduled to run about 1 hour and will include:
- The results of SOD Blitz testing in your local community.
- The latest information and recommendations for SOD management.
- Treatment options and strategies for your area.
- ...and plenty of time to answer your questions!
We are holding two different types of meetings: Indoor Community Meetings where we present the 2011 Sod Blitz results and outdoor Field
Meetings where we discuss SOD managment and demonstrate treatment techniques. We recommend that you attend the community meeting in your area prior
to the field meetings. We also offer treatment training workshops on the UC Berkeley Campus.
