Hi, my name is Julie and I am a second year Molecular Environmental Biology Major.
I like to be actively involved in school and reach out to help others. I
chose my major because I want to go to optometry school after I finish my
undergraduate degree here at Berkeley and this major offers a lot of
courses that satisfy the optometry school requirement while still leaving
me plenty of room to take other courses that I find interest me.
I moved to America when I was eight years old and went to eight different schools my whole life. My favorite of all the school is, of course, Berkeley. I feel totally comfortable at Cal and I love the environment in CNR. Everyone is always there to lend you a helping hand and give a friendly smile.
Besides school I like to relax. I like to take classes at the RSF for cardio kickboxing, abs and back, and yoga. I like to jog up to the big C and enjoy the breath taking view of the bay area. I love baking brownies and eating chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven.
I am currently volunteering at the Tang Center at the optometry department on the third floor. I am also in the club ISPE (International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering) bridging the gap between industry professionals and students. I love all the clubs at Berkeley because I enjoy meeting people with similar interest as me. I am looking forward in working with the PAL program and hanging out with awesome and motivated students.
