This riparian area burn was performed as part of a graduate student dissertation project (Leah Rogers, ESPM Insect Biology, UCB). Although the burn unit was not part of the Fire-Fire Surrogate Study, it served as an additional test burn and a "ramping up" in preparation of Rx fire treatments scheduled for Fall 2002.
