GOALS
The goals of the Black Rail Project are to determine what types of habitats are most likely to support Black Rails in the foothills, where they are distributed, how stable the population is, what factors influence population changes and how closely Black Rails in the foothills are related to other populations in the San Francisco Bay-Delta Estuary, along the California coast and along the Colorado River.
